| Fluorite is a most attractive mineral of varied colors including white, yellow, red, blue, green, brown, black and violet. It can also be colorless. It can be transparent to translucent or opaque. H - 4, Sp. Gr. - 3.2. Fluorite is used to produce a fluid slag in steel making and in smelting ores. It is also used in making high-test gasoline, Freon, and many other chemical products.
