| Lepidolite is a lithium mica with potassium and flourine, and is quite variable in composition. It is an ore of the light metal lithium, and its color is lilac or pink; rarely it is colorless, grey or yellow. It has a pearly luster, and is transparent to translucent. Lepidolite is a characteristic mineral in granite pegmatites, often in association with other lithium bearing minerals such as tourmaline or spodumene. H. - about 3; Sp. Gr. - about 2.8. Metaphysically, this receptive stone promotes peace and calm. Used under the pillow at night, it defeats nightmares and promotes restful slumber.
