| Tilghman Traditions is pleased to offer you some of our unique hand-done tole-painted items. All of our hardwood pieces are functional items, not for display only, and make a superb addition to any home and are not restricted to the kitchen and dining room! Our bowls are one-piece, solid hardwood (mostly Maple), turned by Vermont expert craftsmen for us. We offer two bowl sizes, 8" and 10". The bowls are oiled, sealed, painted, and sealed again, then coated with four applications of non-toxic, food-contact-safe glaze to build up shine and protect from chipping and scratching, hand-buffed between applications. Our French Bread boards are also hardwood, made for us by the same expert craftsmen. They measure 13.5" long by 5" wide by .75" thick. We oil them, seal only the painted side, paint them, seal them again, and coat them with two layers of glaze on the painted side to protect against chipping and scratching. The opposite side is left natural for serving and slicing bread. These bread boards are beautiful as well as functional, but can simply be hung on any wall for visual effect. Our board is heavily used, but is propped up on the kitchen counter with the painted side facing out when not in use to add beauty and warmth to an otherwise empty and common spot. No two pieces are ever the same, and each will be used and treasured throughout the years. We also offer special holiday items such as sundials, holiday decorative plates, Christmas ornaments and more!
